Role Purpose

 

Responsible for planning and leading the direct work in the workshop for the assigned division or brand and ensure the customer needs and expectations are met through the management of the Workshop Business Process.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

 

- Plan scheduled work and resources taking knowledge & skills available of technicians into account.
- Set routines to secure resource availability in regard of tools, special equipment’s and parts.
- Check special equipment availability.
- Replace damaged tools etc. securing the workshop infrastructure needed to carry out work.
- Set the routine of spotting deviations easily and monitor the process, improve when necessary.
- Set the content/agenda and hold daily planning/steering meeting.
- Make proposals for improving the workshop offer: local campaigns, service portfolio etc.
- Monitor standards and routines for workshop cleanliness and tidiness.
- Monitor effectiveness in the workshop, follow-up stampings etc.
- Select the right technician for jobs, provide technician with instructions and directions, taking the time to discuss a problem or job with the technicians to find best solution for customer.
- Set and follow up routines on identifying additional jobs.
- Re-plan the workshop to fit in any additional jobs during operations.
- Identify, suggest and decide if additional work is needed, inform Service Advisors thereof.
- Set and follow up routines to easily spot deviations in delivery time.
- Set routines for “act in real time” (re-work, warranty matters etc.) & continuous improvement.
- Advising and support technicians work & control that technicians use proper skills, equipment, procedures & tools .
- Make quality control of work done, go through job card with technician.
- Do the final quality check before handing over vehicle to the customer.
- Supervise the staff, including monitoring of time keeping and productivity.
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities within the action plans.

 

Education & Certifications

 

Technical degree in any related field.

Required Years of Experience

 

4-5 years’ experience in related field.
