Role Purpose


To support and execute talent initiatives, focused on spotting high potential talent, and prepare required development plans and track progress. Responsible for ROOTS process, Succession Planning, and Talent Assessment & Development.

Job Accountabilities & Activities


- Act as the Custodian for all confidential data surrounding psychometric assessments for OSHCO, OFC, and Opcos. 
- Oversee psychometric assessments to be completed as required, including prior briefing for candidates and timeous notice to service providers.
- Maintain relationship, and adequate service levels, with various service providers, including those who provide the services of psychometric assessments.
- Ensure that Olayan remains at the forefront of best practice in psychometric tests.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to line managers accurately interpret psychometric assessment information in specific situations and contexts.
- Oversee the collection of the required information to jointly identify with managers critical roles across functions which require successors.
- Review with managers performance ratings of those who have potential to grow and high-flyers/fast-trackers and utilize as well their psychometric assessments.
- Oversee the preparation of all data related to career advancement and succession plans in place or to be in place for the use of the company and give guidance on individuals that require specific attention. 
- To ensure that high potential talents are spotted and placed properly, and to manage their progress. 
- Work closely with other departments within HR to ensure proper planning that is related to careers advancement and succession programs:
- Training & Development: communicate the required training courses that will be needed to ensure proper career progression and the readiness of successors.
- Rewards & Remuneration: ensure that the proper R&R gets assigned to individuals and their career growth within the organization.
- Oversee the execution of assessment centre when required, by preparing the forms and agenda.
- Liaise with Talent Acquisition team to list eligible candidates to go through the assessment. 
- Assign the GMs that are most suitable to be within a panel in such exercises
- Coordinate with external providers the design of the material and ensure through the vendors the content suits Olayan requirements, if needed. 
- Provide development feedback to the attendees based on their performance in the assessment centre. 
- Ensure to refresh current certified assessor prior to each assessment session. 
- Make sure to certify a pool of assessor (existed employees). 
- Recommend improvements to Organizational Effectiveness’s policies, and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results.
- Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
- Ensure the development and communication of the organization’s code of conduct guide.
- Assist HRBP to make sure that all talent initiatives are applied properly (ROOTS, Career Advancement, Succession Planning, and Talent Assessment & Development).  


Education & Certifications


Bachelor’s degree in HRD / HR / Business Administration from a recognized business school is a plus.
