Senior Officer, Credit Control

Role Purpose
Control overall (current & overdue) collection from customers, ensure completeness of the credit assessment for customers and obtain necessary approval of credit limits, management of exposure associated with customers, recommend, and liaise with legal department on cases, recommend provision for doubtful debts, and overall maintenance & upkeep of systems and the books of accounts in CRM and SAP.
Job Accountabilities & Activities
- Ensure credit limits are approved as per policy
- Block release as per authority matrix
- Ensure credit terms complied
- Support Finance Manager in day-to-day AR operations
- Follow up with after sales and customers for overdue payments
- Negotiate with customers within the authority matrix
- Liaise with SSC team and After Sales and ensure completeness before month closing
- Recommend customers for legal cases
- Liaise with SSC team and after sales team and support in building case files for legal team
- Negotiate with the customers for settlements
- Main point of contact for AR related inquiries by internal and external auditors
- Ensure regular confirmation and reconciliations with customer
- Regular credit worthiness assessment
- Regular reporting to FM & HQ on credit worthiness
- Source receivables financing options
- Maintain receivables financing
- Prepare regular reports with highlighted risks on customers
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports of AR and their ageing
- Prepare collection forecast
- Monitor DSO and recommend action plans for improvement
- Define and improve processes in CRM and SAP as per Line-Manager instructions
- Develop quality control processes with relation to AR
- Create / Modify the existing process workflow to clear the Internal audit observations
- Upgrade P&P and systems up to Industry Standards
- Implement the Upgrade and maintain end of end cycle of Order to Cash in order to ensure highest productivity

BSc in Finance & Accounting
