Role Purpose

 

To define and oversee the planning and implementation of all strategic and transformational initiatives to achieve/exceed approved strategic objectives, and develop other transformational initiatives to nurture, grow and improve the organization. 

Job Accountabilities & Activities

 

Operations:


• Incubate senior management vision and transform to initiatives plan and stakeholders register. 
• Lead the development and review of post-implementation project evaluation reports to facilitate effective performance management and facilitate improvement of divisional performance.
• Guide digital initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
• Oversee activities and decisions through strategic initiatives life cycle of ideation, initial acceptance, initiation, planning, approval, handover, and monitoring.
• Overseas building ecosystem that governs major innovative initiatives within organization critical operation and support functions 

Planning:


• Develop strategic scope, plan, analysis and areas of execution as per organizations strategic directions.
• Define strategy enablers to ensure strategic objectives implementation. 
• Review sectorial strategic initiatives as per the approved organization strategy and ensure mapping and alignment with organization objectives.
• Review data analysis models and analyze output to enhance strategic planning process to improve the accuracy of decision-making approach.
• Initiate innovative and transformational initiatives to improve business sustainability.
• Define budgeting plan and financial allocation for transformation projects.
• Support business cases formulation and alignment as per organization selection criteria.
• Oversee risk-based analysis to reduce the risk level for an effective business continuity.
• Define risks mitigation plans with stakeholders

Implementation:


• Facilitate the strategic initiatives execution with relevant functional departments to ensure smooth implementation and meet strategic initiatives plans.
• Accelerate execution of initiatives and define risks associated. 
• Activate mitigation plans in case of risk occurrence and ensure alignment with all relevant stakeholders 

Monitoring & Reporting:


• Conduct regular organization strategic analysis to ensure adherence to strategic objectives and improve as needed by shareholders or external parties’ recommendation.
• Monitor strategic initiatives’ progress using defined tools and mechanisms. 
• Review the periodic status reports of all strategic initiatives’ progress.
• Define innovative opportunities based on the current progress and analysis during the planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
• Monitor risks and ensure frequent updates to avoid any undesirable events.
• Flag and report any challenges that deviate from the approved strategic initiatives and plans (budget, timelines, risks, and others).

Strategic Transformation:


• Provide guidance and project management support to OpCo and function to activate their operations and serve as focal contact point for coordination with corporate level.
• Provide resolutions when issues arise and escalates problems for management decision making ensuring smooth initiatives implementation.
• Lead the alliance with outsourced consultants to analyze and implements new initiatives within the organization.
• Develop and bridge communications channels with relevant stakeholders to facilitate strategic initiatives planning.

Budget Management:


• Support the company’s strategic initiatives & business development budgeting cycle.
• Forecast new developed business contribution at budget.
• Formulate in liaise with relevant stakeholders’ strategies that result in positive financial impact for sectors and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Prepare, submit, and justify budget enhancement and resource requests to VP / top management

Education & Certifications

 

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or related field. 
•    Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is a plus

Required Years of Experience

 

9 to 10 years of experience in corporate business
