Sales Specialist

Role Purpose
Responsible for driving business growth within Government / Public Sector by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities aligned with the organization strategic objectives. This role requires strong ownership of the sales cycle, from opportunity identification through contracting, invoicing, and collection, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and service delivery.
Job Accountabilities & Activities
- Develop and manage a government-sector sales pipeline aligned with the company’s financial targets.
- Identify and originate opportunities within ministries, authorities, and government agencies.
- Drive the closure of new government business by building trusted relationships at executive, operational, and technical levels.
- Expand business within existing government accounts through cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain account plans for government accounts
- Lead and manage the full sales cycle, including quotations, commercial proposals, and contractual documentation.
- Own forecasting, pipeline reporting, invoicing, and collections for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate closely with presales, technical, delivery, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful deal execution.
- Demonstrated success in managing and winning government tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and framework agreements.
- Solid understanding of government procurement regulations, compliance, and contractual environments.
- Maintain strong knowledge of government procurement processes, approval workflows, and budget cycles.
- Build technical and commercial proposals and present offers based on the customer’s scope and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal sales processes, governance, and reporting requirements.
- Continuously contribute to improving sales processes, efficiency, and best practices within government sales.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
Required Years of Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in government / public sector sales within Saudi Arabia.
Demonstrated success in managing and winning government tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and framework agreements.
Solid understanding of government procurement regulations, compliance, and contractual environments.
Experience in consultative and solution-based selling is preferred
