Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Short Description (Role Purpose)

To lead and support the design and implementation of cloud solutions for a variety of customers

Job Accountabilities & Activities

- Owns the architecting and design of complex cloud solutions for our IoT product engineering, project, and managed services teams.
- Leads the design of integrated solutions.
- Understands client needs and can communicate solutions to the customer in an effective way.
- Has deep knowledge of cloud-architecture patterns and best-practices. For example: different integration patterns based on source criteria, microservices using Orlando Framework and Container orchestration, Automation for cost control of services, etc.
- Works closely with our solution providers, system integrators, business owners and implementors.
- Serves as the focal point of contact with Oracle team, and for the internal business and technology stakeholders.
- Work with the partners architects and ensure that the architecture, design principles, and standards are in alignment with Enterprise Architecture direction.
- Identify and manage technical risks on the project.
- Gathering and vetting architectural server and rack level requirements.
- Generating architectural definition documentation.
- Ensuring designs meet cost, performance, and reliability requirements.
- Working with partner hardware, firmware and software design team, as well as with silicon and other component vendors and external design partners.
- Driving cost and feature architectural analysis.
- Participation and representation in industry forums.
 

Education & Certifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect Professional Certification

Required Years of Experience

5+ years of experience architecting enterprise cloud infrastructure & application solutions in medium to large size companies.
