BI Solutions Manager

Role Purpose
To lead business analysis engagements with operating companies executive leads. Manage and handle all analytics inquiries and manage to deliver them with business insights and recommended decisions. Custodian of BI solutions technical architecture from existing to future enhanced architecture along with monitor related projects from initiation, through solutions design & development to Go Live & closure, as well as managing end-to-end BI services across group’s operating companies
Job Accountabilities & Activities
Core Competences:
• Extract business KPIs that can be generated from systems, implement and setup a process of regular issuance of these KPIs and seek improvements from the business
• Develop business cases for technology investment based on assessment of a single/multiple business opportunity
• Provide meaningful insights in business functions such as Supply Chain, Sales or marketing.
• Provide data analytics facts to business problems and inquiries that use prediction models and complex data sources normalization
• Compare different data sources and standardize parameters among all of them to achieve cross data points correlation
• Drive business decisions based on authentic data sources that were validated and confirmed.
• Provide System reports for various departments on-need basis
• Maintain server environment (new servers installation, backup and restore, upgrades)
• Maintain the BI applications in terms of (installation, maintenance, technical\functional configuration & setup)
• Accountable for uploading different data loads as per business defined rules and monitor its performance.
• Communicate essentials of service catalogue to multiple stakeholders to inform their understanding of the cost, value, and risk of services
• Design and maintain service frameworks (including service definitions and service level agreements)
• Conduct service reviews to identify potential performance improvements, reassess service level targets, minimize risk of business failure, or focus resources on unmet commitments
• Capture and understand business partners’ service requirements and consumption patterns and differentiate wants from needs
• Demonstrate understanding and self-sufficient skills in Incident and Problem Management
• Transform Business Requirements of Automation / optimization into realization
• Demonstrate understanding of changes on service quality and business results
• Document As-Is & To-Be business process related to decision making, identify pain points and opportunities and successfully recommend a transformation & implement it to drive real business value.
• Map key stakeholders related to IT services and effectively translate their requirements into an effective communications plan. Provide business partners with a user centric view of change as opposed to siloed, project-centric view
• Maintain existing BI solutions & services along with designing and creating new BI solutions (including requirements analysis, data warehouse design, ETL design, universe design, dashboards design, reports design)
• Conduct end-users training on the BI applications
• Manage BI related projects from initiation/discovery phases till closure & monitoring.
Technical Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong Knowledge on SAP BI/BW, Oracle DB/BI and mySQL
• Excellent understanding on various SAP BW interfaces
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• ITIL Certification.
Required Years of Experience
• Excellent experience in business analysis and understanding of business acumen.
• Good knowledge in Solution Management, SLA Management & Change Management
• Basic knowledge in Business Process Management & Commercialization
• Designed & implemented an Enterprise Data Warehouse along with delivering dashboards & standard reports
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in BI applications
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in managing IT projects
