Senior Officer, Lease Operations

Role Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities of the commercial truck rental fleet, this role ensures optimal fleet utilization, operational efficiency, compliance with regulatory standards, and customer satisfaction, support the implementation of operational strategies that enhance fleet uptime and financial performance.
Job Accountabilities & Activities
Fleet Operations & Vehicles Management
- Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the rental fleet, including vehicle deployment, returns, and utilization optimization.
- Review daily reports from operational supervisors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve operational challenges related to fleet, drivers, or logistics.
- Recommend process enhancements to improve fleet uptime and operational productivity
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, repair coordination, and periodic vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical reliability and safety compliance.
- Monitor fleet operating expenses, fuel usage, and maintenance costs.
- Implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and reduce non-productive fuel consumption.
- Provide technical support to workshop team or field operations to minimize equipment downtime.
Drivers Management
- Supervise driver activities such as journey and trip management, ensuring adherence to operational policies, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards, and regulatory requirements.
Customer Relationship & Service Excellence
- Maintain a customer-centric operational culture by ensuring prompt resolution of client inquiries and complaints.
- Develop and sustain long-term business relationships through consistent service quality and proactive communication
Documentation & Record Control
- Ensure the accurate maintenance of all fleet-related records, including vehicle usage, service logs, and inspection histories.
- Conduct periodic audits to verify data integrity and compliance with internal control procedures
Compliance & Safety Assurance
- Ensure adherence to transport regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and internal auditors to ensure operational compliance
- Coordinate all mandatory training related to the Transport Safety Standard to ensure full compliance.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Logistics, or relevant experience in related fields.
Required Years of Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial fleet management & Transportation
