(Role Purpose)

 

The Finance Manager role is critical in ensuring strong controls, accurate and timely financial reporting and in providing business support to the General Manager.  It is also a key leadership position within the finance organization, with the objective to build and promote talent

Accountabilities & Activities

 

Maintain strong control environment

 

  • Satisfactory Internal Audit Rating
  • Absence of fraud, misreporting
  • Updated and Approved Policies and Procedures
  • Compliance with Policies and Procedures.
  • Adequate reconciliations performed regularly (banks, cash, receivables, payables)

 

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

 

  • Accurate financial statements issued on time every month
  • Detailed analysis of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement
  • Detailed explanation of variances
  • Accurate and timely tax filing
  • Monthly performance is reviewed with Management and department heads
  • Pro-active corrective measures are taken as and when necessary

 

Effective balance sheet management

 

  • Reconciliation, aging and follow up on accounts receivables
  • Aging and verification of inventories
  • Fixed assets tracking and verification
  • Depreciation as per Policies
  • Minimize interest cost via effective treasury management
  • Effective Risk Coverage

 

Financial planning - Budgeting

 

  • Financial performance vs. Budget
  • Update financial projections as per Company guidelines (Forecasts, Budget, Estimates)
  • Business assumptions clarified, aligned and clearly presented to Management

 

Effective P & L Management

 

  • Ensure effective controls of NOH
  • Manage & Deliver Gross Margins
  • Control working Capital cost
  • Protect Delivery of Budgeted PATAM
  • Protect Delivery of Budgeted ROOF

 

Business Support

 

  • Capex requests are well documented, with accurate and relevant financial analysis to support it
  • Scenario analysis on pricing, costing, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins and returns (mix management, cost savings, productivity, working capital efficiency)
  • Specific business initiatives are analyzed in terms of business and financial implications.
  • Ad-Hoc requests for support, information and analysis are satisfied

 

Education & Certifications

MBA Finance, CPA or equivalent

Required Years of Experience

10 years in operating finance, at least 3 years as Finance Manager
