Assistant Division Manager

Role Purpose
Responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships within the designated territory, while also assisting the Sales Manager in overseeing team performance, planning sales strategy, and supporting the commercial growth of the Telecom product line. Supporting performance monitoring, and contributing to market expansion strategies, while continuing to lead by example in sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Job Accountabilities & Activities
Sales Execution & Customer Management:
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with key customers.
• Conduct client visits, sales calls, and technical consultations.
• Identify opportunities and recommend effective Telecom solutions (Acoustic Systems, Paging, Speakers, Amplifiers).
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, appointments, and follow-ups.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to market share growth.
• Perform competitive analysis and recommend pricing and packaging strategies.
• Support tender submissions, technical documentation, and post-sale support.
Leadership & Team Coordination:
• Support and coach junior sales engineers and team members.
• Assist in setting team targets and reviewing progress regularly with Sales Manager.
• Lead by example in customer engagement, compliance, and reporting.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new staff within the Telecom sales team.
• Step in as acting lead in the absence of the Sales Manager when required.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal management and external partners for all project-related matters.
• Foster collaboration between technical teams, product management, finance, and operations.
• Ensure projects align with customer expectations and contractual obligations.
Financial & Resource Management:
• Oversee project budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
• Ensure project billing is aligned with execution milestones and supports revenue goals.
• Conduct feasibility and profitability assessments of proposed and ongoing projects.
Improvement & Innovation:
• Promote best practices in agile, waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
• Drive post-project reviews, knowledge sharing, and operational efficiency gains.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s in Telecommunications, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Required Years of Experience
5 to 6 years in Telecom sales, with proven customer-facing and technical experience.
