Sales Engineer

Role Purpose
Responsible for boost sales appointments and expand the customer base for the team by performing Top-of-Funnel prospecting and lead-generation activities through a variety of methods (cold and warm).
Job Accountabilities & Activities
Planning:
• Create top-of-funnel sales opportunities through outbound cold calling to prospective customers.
• Follow-up on all inbound leads / customer requests with the view to pre-qualify the prospective customer.
• Set meetings between first level qualified prospects with the Department Head.
• Conduct market research and identify key commercial and industrial customers for distributed solar leasing/PPA and energy efficiency systems within KSA market to maintain a healthy pipeline and ensure business continuity.
• Keeps a healthy database always updated, removes duplicates, and corrects data.
• Enters customer and opportunity information from mapping exercise within the assigned market.
Stakeholder Management:
• Maintains a log of technical requests with dates.
• Keeps track of site visit appointments with the Site Engineer.
• Coordinates with Legal & Finance when required.
• Follows up on requests with the appointed Design Engineer.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, permits, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project development.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare weekly reports, status updates, and feedback on opportunities/projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, contracts, and correspondence.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Required Years of Experience
2-3 years sales experience.
