Role Purpose

Execute sales and distribution plans within a defined area to support the achievement of regional sales targets. The role focuses on driving in-market execution, supervising the sales team, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with established sales and trade marketing plans.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

Operations:

• Execute sales cycle activities in line with predefined plans and priorities
• Ensure product availability, distribution, and visibility across assigned outlets
• Monitor in-market execution of promotions, displays, and POS materials
• Support product launches by ensuring timely and accurate execution
• Track trade inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to maintain optimal stock

 

Planning: 

• Support sales forecasting activities by providing area-level inputs
• Assist in translating regional sales plans into actionable targets for the team
• Monitor daily and weekly sales performance against assigned targets
• Identify execution gaps and escalate to management

 

Development:

• Support growth of existing customer accounts through consistent execution
• Identify basic business opportunities within assigned outlets and channels
• Assist in implementing initiatives to improve distribution and market coverage
• Contribute to achieving sales targets through effective field execution

 

Stakeholder Management: 

• Maintain strong working relationships with customers at the operational level
• Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day customer interactions
• Coordinate with internal teams (finance, supply chain, sales operations) to resolve issues
• Conduct regular market visits to ensure service quality and execution standards

 

Reporting:

• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, distribution, and field execution
• Track and report trade inventory and stock levels
• Provide feedback on competitor activities and market conditions
• Monitor team performance and highlight areas requiring improvement

 

People Management:

• Supervise and guide the sales team to ensure effective execution of plans
• Conduct regular performance reviews and field coaching sessions
• Support onboarding and training of new team members
• Ensure compliance with company policies and sales processes

 

Financial / Commercial Support: 

• Support achievement of sales targets within assigned area
• Monitor receivables and follow up in line with company policies
• Assist in controlling promotional spend within approved budgets
• Ensure adherence to pricing and discount guidelines

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Sales or field force management training (preferred)
