Role Purpose

Maintain standards and controls within the shop by checking the work at pre-determined stages.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

-  Allocate work via routing sheet to machinists
- Assist the machinist in setting up of jobs in the machine, where necessary.
- Maintain standards and controls within the shop by checking the work at pre-determined stages.
- Report non-conformance to QC supervisor.
- Raise material requisition for tools and other requirements.
- Report to Superintendent on jobs completion, back-log, training requirements and other needs of the department.
- Ensure the shop is maintained clean & tidy, and all equipment’s are used in a safe manner.
- Provide man-hour consumption, material requirement and other details to sales department / estimators to prepare estimate / quotation.
- Plan & schedule the jobs and distribute among the available manpower and machines.
- Follow up with Inspection Company to know the in-coming jobs and plan accordingly, to meet the delivery schedule.
- Follow up with customers & sales department for required accessories to complete a job.
- Meet the emergency requirements by rescheduling of jobs for quick turn around and to increase the revenue.
- Planning of jobs during weekends and eid-holidays to minimize the over time
 

Education & Certifications

Degree in Mechanical engineering

7-8 years of experience
