Role Purpose

 

HSE Manager is required to work across all of a business’ departments, acquiring information about departmental practices and assessing their adherence to health and safety policy. This information allows a HSE Manager to analyse the effectiveness of existing policy as well as any issues or concerns. The HSE Manager is also responsible for the development of new strategies and any necessary new safety policies.

 

Job Accountabilities & Activities

 

- Developing HSE policies, systems, standards, and procedures.
- Developing effective HSE team .
- Ensuring the adherence to industry and international standards.
- Leading internal and external audits and ensuring maintaining our international licenses.
- Planning effective training for staff members.
- Investigating workplace incidents.
- Providing technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
- Providing for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.    
- Analyzing the effectiveness of workplace safety procedures.
- Keeping workplace protocols in alignment with health and safety legislation.
- Hazard identification and control, including:

  • Fire & Life Safety
  • Occupational illness
  • Machinery and heavy operations
  • Accident & Injury Prevention
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Ergonomics (ensuring that individuals are able to use systems comfortably and efficiently)
  • Industrial Hygiene (limiting potential hazards to workers)

 

Education & Certifications

 

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering / Occupational Health and Safety / or Environmental Science from a reputable university.

 

Required Years of Experience

 

7-8 Years of experience.
