APS-Reverse Engineering Supervisor

Role Purpose

The Engineering Supervisor is a competent individual capable of undertaking design, validation & verification activities on Rotating equipment typically pressure containing, controlling and / or load bearing in nature, meeting internal & external engineering competence standards.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

- Undertake contract / sales order reviews to identify commercial and technical risks.
-  Participate in design reviews with the customer and gain acceptance for design 
specifications.
- Develop an overall project verification plan. Where appropriate include verification 
requirements from third parties and the customer.
- Identify and ensure equipment is designed in accordance with the current international 
standards.
- Identify improvements in existing product, procedures and processes and develop cast 
effective solutions to satisfy specifications.
- Communicate design specifications for interpretation by other APS engineers and 
designers.
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical reviews.
- Prepare / manage execution plans for engineering deliverables.
- Create and review drawings, calculation, procedure & BOM undertaken by others in support 
of design, ensuring the appropriate approvals.
- Work with other functions to solve problems, such as purchasing, manufacturing, testing, 
field services (Rig / customer site visit).
- Provide technical leadership and ownership of assigned projects.
- Work non-standard hours in support of rig down situations.
- Participate in continuous improvement of processes, tools and standards.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects is 
consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

1-2  years related experience and / or training ; or equivalent combination of education and experience
